How to setup custom webhooks

Now Fomo allows you to send Webhooks directly to Fomo from the platform of your choosing.  Webhooks are data that gets sent out from a platformven some trigger event occurring.

The Process of setting up Webhooks with Fomo is a simple operation. Fomo will provide a webhook Url to you.

Copy and Paste this webhook into the webhook input form of the platform of your choosing. After setting up webhooks on the platform that you want to send webhooks for, create a test situation. Do this to send the webhook data to Fomo.

Fomo will be listening for new webhooks to send to it. Once Fomo has received new data it will show you a button titled 'Show Payload'.

Click Show Payload. View the payload and choose the pieces of data that you want to include in your message. Pay Attention to the nesting structure of the data that you choose to pull from.

After picking the data from the webhooks that you receive. Map the data to the variables that you would like to show. These variables can be named anything, however, stay away from using numbers to begin a variable name.  Also make sure to remove the example variable names if you do not use them.

Click save and then go over to the templates section of Fomo. Make sure to modify your template to use your new variables that you created in the custom webhook integration.

After updating your template click to save. Now you're all set to receive webhooks with Fomo.
