How to connect Fomo with BigCommerce

BigCommerce is a leading cart platform for easy online stores.

Connecting your BigCommerce shop with Fomo is seamless, and requires no coding experience.

Step 1 - Enable the BigCommerce API

Within your BigCommerce admin dashboard, click Advanced Settings from the left side menu.

Step 2 - Open the API

Once you've selected Advanced Setting, click API Accounts.

On the right side of this page, click the Create API Account button.

Step 3 - Create a Fomo API Profile

In the API Account form page, fill in these details: 

In case the image above is difficult to read:

  • Name: Fomo
  • Content: None
  • Customers: read-only
  • Information: None
  • Marketing: None
  • Orders: read-only
  • Order Transactions: read-only
  • Products: read-only
  • Themes: None

Once you're done, click Save.

You will now prompted with API keys for Fomo.

BigCommerce will also attempt to download these credentials to your computer's download folder, as the keys are only visible once.

Please store them somewhere safe, for the final step in this process.

Step 4 - Connect Fomo

While logged into the Fomo dashboard, navigate to the Integrations tab and scroll down to the BigCommerce Integration.

Input the API details you received from BigCommerce. You will not need the "Client Secret."

Note:

your Store Hash is located in the URL bar of your BigCommerce store, when you are logged into the Admin Panel.

Below is the URL of our test store, while logged into the store dashboard. 

The Store Hash is the last few characters after the text "store-": 

In the example above, the Store Hash is "v3voy". 

After inputting all the details, click Enable BigCommerce.

Step 5 - You're Done!

Going forward, new BigCommerce orders will be imported on-demand, and shown on your website in real-time.

To change the message structure of your Fomo notifications, simply visit the Templates tab while logged into Fomo and click the 'BigCommerce Order' template.
